Hello and welcome to Swift HQ, I’m Blair Jacobs here for Swift TV with news of the exciting launch of two new ranges: the Swift Esprit and the Bessacarr 400.

Now if like me you use your holiday to revive your spirit and recharge your batteries then the Swift Esprit and Bessacarr 400 could be your ideal motorhomes.

With distinctive exterior styling, easy driving, high grade specification and modern interior design, they’re sure to be highly sought after this coming season.

The Esprit & 400 are priced at a similar level to the previous Swift Sundance and Bessacarr E400 but frankly that’s where the similarity ends.

The body shell on all models is based on the increasingly popular Escape range of motorhomes with the addition of gloss white corner cappings to create a more flowing and sleek profile.

New graphics follow the Swift and Bessacarr family style with both ranges having gloss white cabs, side and rear panels. All vans now come with the option of a full length pull out awning.

All models are fitted with the Fiat 2.3litre, 130 brake horse power, Euro 5+ turbo diesel engine gives you plenty of power when you’re driving.

The dashboard has been meticulously designed to ensure all the key elements remain close at hand including the fully integrated Radio/CD/MP3 player.

Add in the keenly priced Drivers pack and you also get cab air conditioning and cruise control as well.

The Front seats have multiple adjustments so you can find your perfect driving position. Now the Swan neck reading lights are a useful addition particularly of course for map reading at night.

And as for the habitation area well it does have a level of specification that you would expect to find in a far higher price range.

Most impressive perhaps is the Truma Combi 6 boiler for hot water and heating. This ensures that all Esprits and 400s easily achieve Grade 3 for thermal insulation. And with the addition of a winter pack as standard, you can remain cosy and warm and on the inside even if outside is -15oC.

A Truma Crash Sensor mono regulator allows the heating system to be operated safely while travelling to keep the whole living space warm.

Now there is a video on Swift TV showing how Swift and Truma test for Grade 3, so do please go and have a look at that swifttv.co.uk.

Interior styling creates an inviting and relaxing space. All the Bessacarr 400 models are finished in the Italian Ash woodgrain with soft mink seating fabric with an abstract swirl patterns on the backrests and curtains in a matching colour.

The Swift Esprit models have Mail Acacia wood grain throughout, complementing the neutral warm grey seating fabric with dark contrasting back rests and linking to the abstract leaf pattern on the curtains.

There is also an option for the easy clean, stain resistant Impala fabric with a soft nubuck texture that is only available from the Swift Group.

In addition, there is a high impact French oak effect vinyl floor that is scratch resistant with removable carpets that are also sectioned for greater practicality.

The lighting system is ultralow energy and allows you to adjust the ambiance to suit the mood.

The popular illuminated splash back from other ranges has been included along with over locker ambient lighting, LED spots and down-lighters. During the night there are subtle low level night lights that guide you through the van at night without disturbing others.

Helping you get a relaxing night’s sleep is the exciting addition of the Duvalay Duvalite mattress to all fixed beds. New and exclusive to the Swift Group for 2014 its innovative lightweight memory fibre technology delivers a host of benefits.

In most models there is also an added touch of luxury in the washroom with a separate shower cubicle and the Ecocamel shower hose and head that delivers a powerful shower. There are also mini down-lighters above the washroom mirror.

The well equipped kitchen is designed to keep everything close at hand. The worktop with granite effect sink and chrome tap is illuminated by the back lit acrylic splash back.

For cooking, you have a full oven, a dual fuel hob including a 800w electric hotplate and a built in microwave. And to keep things cool a sleek, black fronted Dometic 8 series fridge with a removable freezer compartment.

But what does the Swift Group think of it’s new ranges, I’ve been speaking with it National Sales Manager Gary O’Brien?

Blair, we are absolutely thrilled with the new Bessacarr 400 series and the Swift Esprit. We expect that range to do very well for us next season. That sector remains relatively unsatisfied in the market, a great growth opportunity for us and above all people want luxury and practicality which I think both these ranges will deliver.

So what sort of people is it designed for?

Primarily couples of course or even more so now perhaps older families looking to get into a different sort of holidaying that can be outdoor, outdoor pursuits or more of an adventure themed holiday and mainly just having fun relaxing together.

So amongst the ranges what really stands out for you?

The total package really Blair, we have the new Truma Heating system which gives us a real big boost in terms of power and energy supply

The washroom, exceptional washrooms that we have now all of them apart from one layout has a separate shower as opposed to a joined shower and wash area and also the added luxury of the vehicles. We’ve now added Duvalite and also increased the lighting by adding the new ultra low energy lighting system.

Gary O’Brien talking to me earlier.

Now with such a well-equipped motorhome, you may well be concerned about security and Swift has thought of that as well with every model fitted with a Thatcham approved TRACKER Retrieve system.

And all models are covered by Swift Group’s 10 yr body warranty, now for more details on this or indeed any other element of the Esprit or the 400 series do please go to the website swiftgroup.co.uk.
