The Motorhome and Caravan show at the NEC in October is the first opportunity many have to see the new models for 2014.

Gary O’Brien is Swift UK National Sales Manager and when I spoke with him earlier he told me the highlights he expected to be there.

Highlights Blair, new ranges and layouts mainly. It’s a big stand 7,500 square metres to work with so we will have holiday homes, touring caravans and motorhomes on show. 50 exhibits on motors and touring caravans and about 7 Holiday Homes.

To help customers make a decision during the show certainly on caravans and motorhomes we will be doing a show offer to try and help them make a decision on the day which is always important. And we will also have partnerships certainly with Duvalay, Tracker etc., to give as much information as possible to the customer on the day.

More than a 100 vehicles, over 7,500 sq metres, that’s a huge undertaking, so where do you start?

As soon as the NEC finished in February we start the October show. It’s all about logistics and planning just to make sure everything is in place.

We have over 100 people working over three days to set up the stand. It starts very early Saturday by laying carpet and pulling in the vehicles. After that we build the reception areas and displays along with setting up the lighting. Finally we prepare each vehicle to making sure they all look their best for the show.

So what should people look out for from Swift Group?

Wow the main thing has got to be Blair the new SMART intelligent (construction) system for caravans which is mainly hidden within the walls of the caravan structure itself but the sales team will be on hand to explain the benefits.

There is also the new Sterling range bringing a light, contemporary style to caravans.

On Motorhomes, we have the new Swift Esprit and Bessacarr 400 Series, a new range offering incredible value for money, the exclusive Black Edition Kon-tiki, bringing more than a touch of motorhome opulence and the dynamic Autocruise Carrera 4 for those with a passion for outdoor adventure.

And finally, on Holiday Homes there is a range of models to view including the new stunning Moselle Lodge.

Clearly lots going on, incidentally if you want to see any of these ranges before going to the NEC, there will be dedicated videos on Swift TV covering each one.

Gary, let’s just talk about the offers, what sort of offers will be available at the NEC?

On Caravans, we have teamed up with Blackhorse to offer interest free finance on all models taken at the show.

Motorhomes, on every Motorhome there is a free pack or upgrade depending on the range, worth anywhere from £799 getting up to £2,400, again on all orders taken at the show.

Now you mentioned exclusive partnerships earlier on, will many of them be at the stand?

There will indeed Blair, we will have dedicated areas on the stand for customers to talk to our partners like Duvalay, TRACKER, Impala. In addition, this year we also have Powrtouch: the motormover people; Supaguard: the people who do the exterior cleaning; and we will also have the Camping and Caravanning Club on the stand as well so they will all be available to talk to.

So lots to see and do on the Swift Group stand this year at the NEC.

And don’t forget, if you want to see more details of the ranges before you go to the NEC and get such things as specifications, prices, layouts and options then of course the website is there for you
